1. Who we are

This privacy notice explains how MEDACOMI processes personal data through medacomi.com. The Data Controller is MEDACOMI, based in Padova, Italy. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@medacomi.com.

2. Data we may collect

  • Information you provide: name, email address, telephone number, organisation, country, subject, message and any other information you choose to include when contacting us.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, browser and device information, date and time of access, requested pages, referring page, error logs and similar information generated when you use the website.
  • Cookie and consent data: technical cookies, language or consent preferences and, only where permitted, optional analytics or third-party technologies.
  • Communication data: correspondence and records created when you communicate with us by email, contact form or live chat.

3. Why we process personal data and legal bases

  • To answer enquiries, assess proposals and take steps requested before a possible business relationship (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To operate, protect, troubleshoot and improve the website and communications, and to prevent misuse or fraud, based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To comply with legal, accounting, regulatory or authority requirements (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To use optional cookies or similar technologies when required, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings.

We do not use information collected through this website for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Is providing data mandatory?

Fields marked as required in a contact form are necessary for us to receive and respond to the request. Other information is optional. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to answer or evaluate the enquiry.

5. Who may receive the data

Personal data may be accessed by authorised MEDACOMI personnel and by service providers acting on our instructions, such as website hosting, maintenance, security, email delivery, forms, consent management and live-chat providers. Data may also be disclosed to professional advisers, public authorities or other parties where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on a valid transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate safeguards where required.

7. How long we keep data

Enquiries and related correspondence are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed for a continuing relationship, a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Technical and security logs are retained only for the period reasonably necessary for security and troubleshooting. Consent records and business records are kept for the periods required to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses technical technologies necessary for core functions, security, language selection and consent preferences. Optional analytics or third-party technologies are used only when enabled and, where required, after consent. You can accept, reject or change optional choices through the cookie banner or its preferences control. Browser settings may also be used to delete or block cookies, although some website functions may then work differently.

9. Third-party websites and social media

The website may contain links to social networks, video platforms or other third-party websites. Opening those links takes you to services governed by their own privacy notices. MEDACOMI does not control how those third parties process data.

10. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, email contact@medacomi.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) at garanteprivacy.it.

11. Security

We use organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

This website is intended for professional and business audiences and is not directed to children. Please do not submit personal data about children through the website.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when the website, our services or legal requirements change. The latest version and update date will be published on this page.
